Data Analyst Internship - Summer 2024, Undergraduate

Job Description:

A Data Analyst Intern will be responsible for supporting the companys Carelon Digital Platforms team. During the program our Interns will receive an orientation to the company and engage in challenging projects evolving around the rapidly changing healthcare tech industry. Interns are paired with industry professionals and mentors and will be given opportunities to stretch their skills and enrich their knowledge base to achieve a greater understanding within technology.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the Summer 2024 internship

• Actively pursuing a bachelors degree Computer Science, Statistics, Physics or other related degree at an accredited university during internship

• Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

Students will be assigned to a specific group within the Carelon Digital Platforms organization based on skill set and need of the business. Graduate students should have experience and education in:

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner.

• Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills

• Emerging topics in artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, conversational bots, and knowledge representation and reasoning

• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

• Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills

• Experience in writing solutions using Python, R, Java, C/C++, C#, Angular, HTML

• Working on public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)

• Experience in frameworks: Nextjs, Nodejs, Cypress, Playwright, Tailwinds.

• CI/CD: Gitlab, Github, K8s, AWS, GCP.

• Reporting & Management Tools: Jira Cloud, Power BI, Adobe ( Indesign, Ai).

• Knowledge of SAS SQL Databases, database modeling and other Querying languages

• Text Analytics and Natural Language Processing, Sequence Labeling

• Knowledge of Data science & Artificial Intelligence/Machine learning, Probabilistic and Statistical Learning Methods
