Hexcel is currently seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern for our Kent, WA, USA location.
Summary pay range: $20 - $24 hourly rate
Position is on site with immediate availability.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
* Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance inspections and audits.
* Assist with EHS training for all employees.
* Work with other departments to implement and track Safety Engagement Program.
* Assist with auditing activities of the Safety and Health Management system or Environmental Management System and closing actions to achieve compliance.
* Assist EHS, operations, and maintenance with incident investigations to minimize recurrence.
* Assist with daily EH&S office visitors.
* Update Safety & Health's SharePoint.
* Assist with data entry and environmental metrics.
* Assist with compliance reporting under the direction of the EHS Manager and Environmental Manager.
* Perform general administrative tasks, as necessary.
Qualifications:
* Student must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate in a Mechanical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or Environmental, Health, and Safety related degree program (B.S. or B.A.).
* 3.0 GPA or higher.
* Ability to work effectively as a team member.
* Effective communicator both, verbally and written.
* Computer skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
* Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Passionate about safety, health, and environmental.
