FP&A & Accounting Manager | Fresh Produce Industry | Houston, TX

We’re looking for a strategic FP&A professional with strong accounting experience to head the finance department of a well-established fresh produce company in Houston, TX. In this role, you’ll be responsible for both financial planning and managing all accounting functions , reporting directly to executive leadership and serving as a key business partner across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
• Analyze financial performance and deliver insights to support decision-making.
• Oversee and manage the full accounting function , including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Own the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and support audits and tax filings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with operational goals.
• Build and develop a small accounting and finance team, with potential for growth as the company expands.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of combined FP&A and accounting experience.
• Prior experience managing or leading accounting teams.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Experience in the produce, food, or agriculture industry is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
