TITLE: GIS BUSINESS ANALYST

LOCATION: BAKERSFIELD, CA

COMPENSATION: $31.00 - $36.00 / HOUR

PURPOSE:

Grimmway Farms is seeking a highly motivated GIS Business Analyst to join our GIS (Geographic Information System) team. The GIS Business Analyst collaborates with stakeholders to provide impactful spatial data and is responsible for daily tasks and long-term projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the development, operation, maintenance of companywide GIS system.
• Perform spatial analysis with a variety of data sources related to operations. Integrate data and ensure integrity of all related data.
• Perform document research and analysis in preparation for data entry.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure GIS projects are completed timely and accurately.
• Develop and manage methods of distributing and displaying spatial data.
• Compile mapping projects and deliver finished products to end customer.
• Assist and train stakeholders on GIS mapping systems, apps, and use of GPS equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GIS software and hardware issues.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Must have at least one year of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Strong understanding of GIS products, techniques, procedures, and concepts, including ESRI software (ArcPro, ArcMap, Portal, Field Maps, ArcGIS Online, etc.).
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, Arcade is desirable.
• Have a combination of technical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to think critically and work independently.
• Be a team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and having a strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable establishing priorities, meeting deadlines and providing detailed information.
• Communicates effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Remote work not available for this position
• Must be able to travel occasionally both local and out of the area depending on business need.
• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean DMV driving record.
• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background check.
