Job Summary

As the Industrial Engineer, you will design layouts to improve productivity and reduce waste in the production environment. You will design various control systems to help minimize costs and increase production quality. This role includes monitoring overall operations of the company to find new ways to increase efficiency through new production designs and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization:
    • Analyze and evaluate existing production processes to identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
    • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other industrial engineering methodologies.
  • Production Planning:
    • Create and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
    • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
    • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address any issues or delays.
  • Quality Control:
    • Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet company standards and customer specifications.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products.
    • Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect and analyze data on production metrics, such as cycle time, throughput, and equipment utilization.
    • Prepare detailed reports on production performance and present findings to management.
    • Recommend and implement strategies to improve key performance indicators.
  • Facility Layout and Design:
    • Design and optimize the layout of the production facility to maximize efficiency and safety.
    • Plan and oversee the installation of new equipment and machinery.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and ergonomic standards.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Kaizen events and Six Sigma projects.
    • Train and mentor production staff on best practices and process improvements.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
    • Proven experience with process improvement, production planning, and quality control.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in using industrial engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Lean Six Sigma).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and ergonomic standards.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
