We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Development Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent role that will play a crucial part in the development and improvement of our products and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing product designs that fulfill our company's strategic goals while integrating the needs of marketing, sales, and manufacturing departments.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the design and development of new products from concept to production, including the generation of detailed component and assembly drawings using 3D solid modeling and 2D CAD.
2. Design and conduct testing of power equipment including Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, and Transformers.
3. Develop and maintain electrical schematics for high voltage equipment.
4. Understand and apply three-phase electric power concepts and power control techniques to product designs.
5. Implement and maintain compliance with ISO17025 and NRTL standards.
6. Ensure products meet UL 891, UL 1558, and UL 508A requirements.
7. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure product design and performance specifications are met.
8. Use Python and LabVIEW for data analysis and equipment control during product testing.
9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the successful launch of new products.
10. Continually improve product designs and reduce costs through value engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in product development in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with power equipment testing, including Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, and Transformers.
4. Proficient in Python, LabVIEW, 3D solid modeling, and 2D CAD.
5. Strong understanding of electrical schematics, high voltage systems, and three-phase electric power concepts.
6. Familiarity with ISO17025, NRTL, UL 891, UL 1558, and UL 508A.
7. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Strong leadership skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
10. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
