Seeking Experienced Technicians (Mechanics)

SkillBridge – Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) - Military Fellowship Program

Job Openings in Northern California, Oregon, and SW Washington

If you are just getting out of the military and part of Hiring Our Heroes, and you have experience working as a Technician (Mechanic), we would love to talk to you about working as a Technician (Mechanic) for us at Peterson.

We deeply care for our Veterans and would be honored if you consider working with us at Peterson CAT, Peterson Power Systems, and Peterson Trucks in the Military Fellowship Program. Our recruiting team seeks veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

We have 40+ locations in Northern CA, Oregon, and SW Washington .

This is an approved Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program. Active duty transitioning service members from any branch of service may apply if they meet the eligibility requirements. DoD Instruction 1322.29 allows service members to participate in the program with command approval. Your transition office will provide candidates with the necessary documentation to obtain approval. The Hiring Our Heroes Program is a 12-week long fellowship for transitioning military members. This fellowship offers you the chance to get your foot in the door as a coveted Technician (Mechanic) at one of the premiere Peterson Cat, Peterson Power Systems, and Peterson Trucks locations.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Completing an application will increase visibility of your candidacy for a fellowship placement at Peterson; however, it is NOT a guarantee you will be screened or provided a fellowship offer. Please provide a tailored resume for working as a Technician (Mechanic).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Must be accepted into the Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) cohort.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

You must have previous experience working as a Technician (Mechanic).

Associate’s degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field; and a minimum of three years of directly related experience in heavy equipment service, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
