What you will do - Essential Responsibilities
•Create compelling written content that supports awareness messaging adhering to CarMax brand standards and messaging.
•Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to brainstorm, articulate, and develop innovative concepts.
•Interpret strategic direction to develop clear and consistent solutions and copy.
•Present concepts and deliverables to partners, stakeholders, and the broader creative and marketing teams, ensuring alignment with strategy briefs and brand guidelines.
•Uphold the brand's voice and ensure copy integrity, including grammar and spelling.
•Balance and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously.
•Stay updated on evolving brand trends.

Qualifications and Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or communications preferred; graduation from an advertising/portfolio school or equivalent professional experience may be substituted.
•4+ years of professional copywriting experience, primarily in a creative in-house or agency setting.
•Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Art Directors and writers, contributing to objectives and providing constructive feedback.
•Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a specific voice and style.
•Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute campaigns.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
•Passionate about innovation and eager to challenge the status quo.
•Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
•Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
